
Note: Sing it with me now: "Where have all the chip pins gone?" Pins 1 and 8 are soldered together (remember: this turns on our "gain control" function to juice the signal a bit). Pins 2 and 3, our input pins, are still unconnected (they'll eventually get the wires from our eye stalks). Pin 4 is a real negative so-and-so and has hooked up with our negative wire bundle. Pin 5 is the output to our motors. Pin 6 has the positive power wire from the Relay (it will eventually get a power connection of the battery/switch). Pin 7 is a shiftless no-good who's just taking up IC real estate.
