Its pretty obvious that some techdolts have been grabbing the thing by top in the middle.
It's probably heavy enough that the squeezing required to pick it up in this way damages the LCD or the CD-ROM loading mechanism.
Just another example of a Corporation having to state the blindingly obvious to protect themselves from the ignorant consumer set.
